the laboratory has been a vision of mine for a few years now and I am delighted to be opening the space in January next year. My name is Lisa Smith, I am a professional artist with over 10 years of
vast experience of tutoring and delivering workshops for students of all ages.
the laboratory will not only be a space that allows me
to move my practice from the kitchen table to an art studio! but also a space that will encourage you to join me in a range of classes and explore, experiment and create!

the laboratory will offer a range of classes including Adult beginners classes, Adult advanced and Children’s Art Classes - looking at a range of mediums and techniques from drawing, life studies, painting, collage, fabric work and sculpture.
the laboratory will also offer a fun Make and Matter craft workshop on a Saturday morning, bringing the community together to make items to donate to the local St Luke's Hospice.
Along with a range of classes and courses the laboratory can design and deliver art parties for all ages.
